Brendan is so skinny that toddler clothes are baggy on him. Lately we find him stumbling down the hall with his pants around his ankles. He takes a few large steps then wiggles free of his pants completely. He then waddles his diapered tushy into the kitchen where he puts the delinquent pants in his favorite cupboard -- of course. (At least he's tidy!) Since toddler pants aren't a hot kitchen commodity we got Brendan suspenders to keep his pants orbiting around his tiny waste throughout the day. He sports them well. Although once in a while he pulls the straps away from his chest and says, "Off," just to make the whole thing cuter! He's been wearing a couple of 9 month old pants because they are almost snug enough to stay up and because when they hang around his tiny booty they look long enough for a one year old. But now, his suspenders make his 9 month pants look like super-nerdy high-waters. I love it!
We made a fort for the kiddos of our monthly get-together with friends. The big kids sat in there watching a movie while little Brendan went to bed. So unfair! He got to enjoy the cool hangout today though.
He scurried naked out of the bathroom the second I took him out of the tub this morning; this is where I found him, of course.

Stoked he got to experience the fort! Naked even! Ah, for the days when such behavior was appropriate and encouraged.
Grace, when can I come over and kiss on, tickle, suck those cheeks, play with B and just hang out with you all?

Miss you guys and look forward to your second little bundle. Until then, get as much done before because two is very different. Especially one being a toddler. Oh, joy to parenthood...the good, the bad, and the truly ugly sides of it all. (grin!)
