Sunday has become our family adventure day since neither Matt nor I work. This week we went downtown to see the Navy Ships that are docked at the waterfront. This made me wonder about the years my dad spent on an aircraft carrier as a young man in the Navy. "To the sea in ships!"
Of course we couldn't get too close without doing some fancy footwork or standing in a long line for a tour of the ships.

Did you know that Nathan is working for the Navy in San Diego as a contractor? He and Dad supposedly had a good chat when Dad was here last, too.
